NAVi is a financial planning and education service run by Grow, LLC. You trust us with the details of your money, so this page says plainly what we collect, why, who helps us run NAVi, and what you can do about it. We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for advertising.
01What we collect
- Your account. Your name and email, and the two-factor setup that protects your sign-in. If you sign in with Google or Facebook, we receive the name, email address and profile photo that service shares with us.
- What you tell NAVi. The facts your plan is built from: for example your income, savings, debts, goals, household, birthdays and home state, and the answers you give in conversation.
- Documents you upload, such as tax returns, pay stubs and statements, and what NAVi reads from them when you ask it to.
- Accounts you choose to connect. Read-only information from your bank, card, loan, retirement and investment accounts: balances, transactions, loan terms, holdings and pay details where your institution provides them. NAVi can never move money.
- Your plan and activity in NAVi: your conversations with NAVi, the plans you accept, the moves you pick, your calendar reminders, your time zone and your settings.
- Technical information our hosting provider records when you use the site, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, used to keep NAVi running and secure.
02How we use it
- To build your plan, keep it current and show you where you stand.
- To answer your questions in conversation with NAVi.
- To remind you of what's coming up and flag what needs you.
- To keep your account secure and prevent fraud and misuse.
- To keep the records the law requires of us, and to supervise the quality of NAVi's guidance.
- To fix problems and improve NAVi.
03How NAVi's AI uses your information
NAVi's conversations and document reading are powered by Claude, an AI model from Anthropic. When you talk with NAVi, your message and the facts of your plan it needs to answer are sent to Anthropic to produce the reply. When you ask NAVi to read a document, the document is sent to Anthropic to be read.
Before a chat message is sent, NAVi removes Social Security numbers and long account-style numbers from it. Anthropic processes this information to provide the service to us.
04Who we share it with
We share your information only as needed to run NAVi, or when you ask us to:
- Vercel, which hosts NAVi and stores your uploaded documents.
- Neon, which runs NAVi's database.
- Clerk, which handles sign-in and two-factor security.
- Anthropic, which provides the AI described above.
- Plaid, which connects the accounts you choose to link, read-only.
- Google or Facebook, only if you use them to sign in.
- People you invite to view your plan. They can see it but can't change anything, and you can remove them at any time.
- Grow, LLC's financial professionals, who review NAVi's conversations for quality and supervision, and who contact you if you ask for a meeting.
- Authorities or others when the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our members and others.
- A buyer or successor if our business is sold or reorganized, under the same protections described here.
We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising.
05How we protect it
- Every connection to NAVi is encrypted.
- Uploaded documents are encrypted with a key unique to you before they are stored.
- Two-factor sign-in is required for every member.
- Account connections are read-only: NAVi can see your accounts but can never move money.
- Only the people who need it to run and supervise NAVi can access member information.
06How long we keep it
We keep your information while you're a member. When you close your account, we delete your plan, goals, moves, documents, conversations, connected-account data and sign-in.
One thing stays: a record of the guidance NAVi gave and the decisions made with it. It includes your conversations with NAVi, the facts NAVi used to answer them, what NAVi read from your documents, and your plan versions and approvals, but not the document files themselves or any bank sign-in details. Financial firms are required to keep these records for a period of years. We keep them only as long as the law requires, protected the same way, and use them for nothing else.

08Cookies
NAVi uses only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and secure. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
